Hi I’m Namrata Das! I’m from Southern California, now living in Austin, Texas as a software engineer. When I’m not looking at best design practices or googling Docker commands, you’ll find me looking up cheap flight tickets. That’s often how a whole new adventure starts right? I have been traveling since I was a baby, flying long flights back and forth from my hometown Kolkata, India to California. I like to joke that I caught my travel bug since then! As well as visiting my family in India, my family loved to explore new cities and national parks. My sister and I grew up with monthly road trips, camping, as well as simply hiking at new parks in our city.

It wasn’t until later in college I started to be more grandiose in my travels. After planning my first international trip with my college roommates to Costa Rica, I was truly hooked on the adrenaline that traveling to new countries and cities gave me. After graduating (Go Bears!) and moving to Austin, I started traveling much more regularly: in the span of 4 years, I have visited over 60 cities over the world and 4 different continents!

As word spread about my incessant traveling, I started getting so many questions:

How do you find the time?
Isn’t traveling super expensive?
How do you go about planning everything?

And so many more questions. Rather than keeping all these answers to myself, I finally decided to start a travel blog, documenting all my trips. By sharing my adventures, I hope to become your honest and unfiltered voice for all things travel, from the nitty gritty details of travel credit cards down to fun whimsical things like the perfect beach sarongs on a tropical island!
